Who are we
A small family run enterprise, built on our desire feed into the local food network and to provide a nurturing environment for our daughter to thrive in.
Backgrounds originally in Engineering, Project Management and IT, we wanted a simpler life.
For the record, farming life is not simple, it has been the hardest work we have ever done but the most joyful (even with heartaches and challenges), it is being connected to something meaningful.
Regenerative Farming
We believe that sustainable regenerative farming practises are essential for the health of our soil, livestock and our customers.
That's why we use natural fertilisers, livestock rotation, and other sustainable practises to grow our produce.
We love Tasmania, with its clean air and equally clean food and want to be part of the system outside of the supermarket monopoly.
SPROUT Producers Program
It is an exciting time on the farm, as Abruzzo Farm was selected as one of 12 small Tasmanian producers to participate in the SPROUT Producer program for 2024.
A absolute honour to be part of this wonderful program aimed at nurturing small producers through mentorship, on site visits and education with the aim of strengthening the local food networks.
